It wasn’t uncommon in the 80’s for a wrestler to have a “blink and you miss it” run in the WWF. Maybe a few months working shows, a couple of television appearances, and then you’re gone. A “cup of coffee” as it is sometimes known. One such wrestler was Spike Huber in 1984.
A former multiple-time tag team champion in WWA, the son-in-law of Dick the Bruiser made his way to New York to play his trade. It didn’t amount to much with a few loses to the likes of Mr. Fuji and Moondog Rex, but it was enough to score an interview with “Mean” Gene Okerlund.
What do you think? Does Spike Huber set the world on fire in this one or would Gorilla Monsoon call him a “ham and egger”?
