From the “I bet this is awesome, but I am not sure it’s $114 awesome and I also don’t have a record player so that’s an issue too” file comes this tasty little gem I found on eBay: The Destroyer Christmas album from 1974!
Seriously – LOOK AT THIS THING! I honestly don’t know what is most amazing and there is a LOT to choose from: the outfit he’s wearing on the bottom right that appear to be lederhosen, the fact that he’s stuffed into a pink stocking, or the fact he appears to be drilling dimples into his cheeks. There’s also a wacky dog that has a yellow nose and blue eyeliner smeared all over the place!
The back is equally incredible, as we get Destroyer on a sleigh kicking up his heels as he delivers toys (in a clear plastic bag!) and a red-nosed reindeer that is also completely purple! He also appears to be nodding off with someone I presume is his wife but to be fair could be anyone on planet earth.
You may wonder what songs could possible be on here, and lo and behold, they appear to be standard Christmas songs. Except…and this is a big difference…they are sung by the Destroyer. And suddenly, $114 appears to be a total bargain!
