Washington, DC – Rumors swirled among the wrestling community earlier this week after a mysterious “NO” appeared on-screen during Dynamite. Many believe it is a sign that former Dungeon Of Doom member Zodiac will soon be appearing in the company.
The white-and-black face-painted villain was probably best known for shouting “Yes!” and “No!” during promos, interviews, matches, and, presumably, every other activity. Although his time in WCW was short-lived, interest in the enigmatic wrestler peaked Wednesday night when his typical non-sequitur splashed across the screen.
The strange declaration occurred during Darby Allin, Sting, Orange Cassidy, and Keith Lee vs the Mogul Embassy. The bold “NO” was not acknowledged by announcers or other on-screen talent, causing some to believe it to be a production error. The consensus now is that the mysterious message was intentional and that the Zodiac is bound for All Elite Wrestling.
Unfortunately for fans, it appears Zodiac is keeping tight-lipped. When reached by phone and asked if he was behind the message, he gave an unhelpful, “Yes! No! Yes! No!”
AEW head Tony Khan was similarly vague during the after-show press conference, answering “No! Yes! No! Yes!” Reporters could not tell if Khan was being intentionally cryptic or not.
With Zodiac potentially coming to AEW, fans are also hopeful for the return of other lesser-known WCW wrestlers like The Booty Man, The Butcher, The Disciple, and The Man With No Name.
