Las Vegas, NV – WWE fans are demanding that the company release the Triple H version of the premium live event.
Wrestling fans all over the world were disappointed over the results of last week’s Wrestlemania, particularly the main event between John Cena and Cody Rhodes. In typical fashion, people have taken to the internet to complain and force the company into giving them the story and ending they want.
A Change.org petition, which currently sits at 93,173 signatures, is asking WWE and parent company TKO to produce a new version of Wrestlemania 41 helmed entirely by Triple H. Many suspect that the lack of build in certain matches, missing Superstars, and a lackluster ending was due to meddling from management.
“There’s a version out there of Cena vs Cody where the Rock shows up,” said Dana Reminicszki, author of the petition. “The Final Boss interferes, costs Cody the WWE Championship, and extends that years-long conflict between the two. It’s what Hunter would have done.”
“Redo the whole thing. Add Big E into the New Day match. Bring back Rusev. Call up an NXT person. Just keep the part where Austin drives his ATV into the barricade,” said one commenter on the petition
“I’d just be happy with Travis Scott getting to the ring in 10 seconds instead of two minutes,” said another.
Industry insiders believe that a reshoot or “director’s cut” of Wrestlemania is unlikely to happen due to cost, timing, and having to sit through Kerry King’s solo again.
