New York, NY – In a shocking move, Warner Brothers Discovery has announced and already cancelled a new All Elite Wrestling program.
Just a few days ago, AEW signed a massive new multi-year deal with WBD. While it shored up the wrestling company’s place on TBS, TNT, and streaming on MAX, many fans were excited for new content.
Unfortunately, that excitement quickly faded as WBD CEO David Zaslav announced a new show, AEW Kablammo, had already been cancelled.
As has become habit with Warner Brothers Discovery, the company has found it more profitable and tax-friendly to cancel a project rather than release it. Sets were immediately built and destroyed, advertisements were written and deleted, and a new AEW Kablammo title was melted down for spare parts.
“We are disappointed with the cancellation of Kablammo, but are still grateful for WBD,” said AEW leader Tony Khan. “Kablammo joins other AEW shows Dark, Dark: Elevation, Rhodes To The Top, and Rhodes To The Top Dark: Elevation as shows that are no longer with us. We’ll always have those amazing couple of seconds of Kablammo to remember.”
When asked to comment about the sudden and announcement and cancellation of another show, David Zaslav said “MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!”
