Raygun Interferes In Grand Slam Match

Raygun AEW Grand Slam Toni Storm Mariah May

Brisbane, AU – Olympic breakdancer Raygun made her AEW debut this weekend after interfering

The viral star of the 2024 Olympics strutted and bounced her way to the ring during the Mariah May – “Timeless” Toni Storm match. The local crowd roared as Raygun kangaroo-walked down the aisle. People clapped to the beat of the music blaring over the PA as she summersaulted around the ring.

Eventually, Raygun’s eccentric popping and locking garnered the ire of AEW Women’s Champion Mariah May. May leaned over the ropes, telling the breakdancer that she was “about to be served”. The distraction allowed challenger Toni Storm to capitalize with a roll up pin attempt.

The champion desperately broke the pin at 2 ¾. Still, the presence of the Olympian was too much for May. Mariah May busted out The Robot, drawing raucous boos from the audience. Raygun came back with an exuberant version of The Sprinkler, sending May stumbling right into a Storm Zero from the challenger.

After the three count, Raygun joined new champion Toni Storm in the ring to celebrate with a failed headspin.

During the press conference later Saturday night, AEW head Tony Khan expressed interest in bringing the Olympian back in the future.

“She was great. Those moves were great. And I think our fans would love to see her interact with someone like MJF. Really show him how to do a proper Kangaroo Kick.”
