Hollywood, CA – Major streaming service Netflix has announced that their newest documentary series will be called Marks.
Building off of the success from their recent hit show Wrestlers, filmmakers will film the daily lives of several diehard wrestling fans. Spanning the globe, cameras are set to capture the dizzying highs and devastating lows of being a professional wrestling fan.
“The world of professional wrestling is fascinating and I think average people really got caught up in the excitement in our show,” said Wrestlers director Greg Whiteley. “Viewer response for Wrestlers was through the roof. People loved colorful characters like HollyHood Haley J, Mahabali Shera, and OVW owner Matt Jones. We want that same passionate response for Marks.”
Viewers will be taken all over the world to experience what it is to be a wrestling fan. Non-fans will experience what it’s like spending hours making fun of AEW on Twitter, using entire paychecks on replica belts, pretending to be Alexa Bliss on Facebook, and foregoing basic hygiene and grooming techniques. Creators promise it will be a whirlwind of emotions.
Select members of the press previewed the first episode and said the series is “Fascinating”, “Depressing”, and “Smelly”.
Netflix has already ordered a second season.
