New York, NY – Wrestling fans were left confused last week after watching who they thought was Simon Gotch interacting with Logan Paul and AJ Styles on Raw.
Fans mistakenly believed controversial comedian Andrew Schulz was actually the former NXT and WWE star making his long-awaited return to the company. Gotch, one half of former WWE tag team The Vaudevillians, has gained attention over the years for the extremely popular Youtube video “Simon Gotch Buries Enzo Amore”.
“I must’ve seen that video, like, 50 times, so I was so hype to see him back,” said shoot interview aficionado Dave Le. “But what was with that 49er’s jacket? And why didn’t he do any moves?”
“I never got the old-timey Vaudvillian gimmick, but I really didn’t get this new deal they’ve got going on now,” said Becca Buhner. “So, what, he’s just some greasy guy that tells jokes on Netflix now?”
“When is he going to get to the fireworks factory and bury Enzo again?!” sobbed Milpool Van Houten.
Despite the misidentification, fans have already vowed to watch Schulz’s new Netflix special in hopes of more shoot comments about NXT and WWE.
