London, UK – Wrestling Observer head Dave Meltzer tore into last night’s All In pay-per-view, shocking many longtime AEW fans and performers.
Meltzer, known for being a big supporter of the company, showed no mercy during his review on Wrestling Observer Live. Usually thoughtful in his analysis, Meltzer viewed the matches in an unexpectedly vicious form.
“You know, this is the follow-up to the biggest event in AEW’s history and it just didn’t live up to the hype,” explained Meltzer to co-host Bryan Alvarez. “It was just…I don’t know. It was like a trash sandwich washed down with a big glass of garbage juice.”
“We’re still doing this Casino gauntlet stuff?” asked a frustrated Meltzer. “Ooooh, Orange Cassidy put his hands in his pockets! Wow! So cool! Never seen that before! I can tell you where you can stick your hands, pal!”
“Mercedes Mone vs Britt Baker should’ve been built for longer. Or shorter. Something,” shrugged Meltzer. “Look, I’m not saying I would’ve rather watched The Bushwhackers vs. Sheik and Volkoff, but I’m also not saying I wouldn’t.”
“Don’t even get me started on Jericho’s match against Hook. You’re like a year late on that, Tony!” spat Dave Meltzer. “I only teared up once during MJF vs Will Ospreay. Once!”
Alvarez tried to calm his co-host, to no avail.
“Dave, it’s not that bad,” pleased Alvarez. “At the end of the day…”
“At the end of the day, I cleaned my office,” snapped Meltzer. “Yeah, that’s right. I was so mad, I rage cleaned. All In? Yeah, all in the toilet is more like it. That’s why, I have to give All In only 6 ¾ stars,” said Dave Meltzer in revulsion.
