New Galaxy Created After Dave Meltzer Gives Omega-Ospreay Match Infinity Stars

Dave Meltzer creates a new galaxy after giving a match infinity stars

Tokyo, Japan – Wrestling and astronomy fans were stunned after Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer’s Omega-Opsreay star-rating created an entirely new galaxy. The match, which took place at Wrestle Kingdom 17, featured Kenny Omega defeating Will Ospreay for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship.

While many declared the NJPW clash to already be Match Of The Year, Meltzer went one step further by giving it infinity stars. The highest rating conceivable, the generous usage of stars has affected the makeup of the universe.

Dubbed “The Meltzy Way”, this new celestial phenomenon has baffled experts.

“We can’t fully explain what has happened yet,” said NASA spokesman George Diller. “Typically, it takes billions of years for a new universe to form. We started seeing activity on January 4th, about halfway through the thirty-four-minute match between Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay. What was previously believed to be empty soon filled with stars, space dust, gasses, and solar systems. It’s incredible!”

Wrestling fans were less than thrilled.

“Infinity stars? Really? I’d give it 8 or 9, tops,” said one Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com.

“Omega’s match against Chris Jericho at Wrestle Kingdom 12 was way better,” said Reddit user Chrus Jericho.

Despite the controversial rating and altering everything we know about space and time, Dave Meltzer took everything in stride.

“Well, y’know, it really was a great match,” explained Meltzer. “The psychology and the physicality were both off the charts. The pageantry was amazing too. Omega and Ospreay had it all. It deserved all the stars and if that means accidentally creating a new galaxy then…yeah.”
