Philadelphia, PA – Former WWE ECW alum Colin Delaney made an appearance at the NXT show last week at the ECW arena.
The event saw numerous wrestlers from ECW’s past make appearances. Stars like Rhyno, The Dudleys, and Dawn Marie got involved in the action, much to the delight of fans in the arena and at home. The event did well in the ratings and helped NXT stars gain new attention.
Although he was not officially included on the show, eagle-eyed fans spotted Colin Delaney in his wrestling gear at many points throughout the evening. The former WWECW competitor could be seen in multiple crowd shots, smiling broadly and waving to the camera. During the main event, he was even seen enjoying a hot pretzel with mustard.
Despite not doing anything on the show, WWE officials were impressed with his appearance.
“Colin Delaney is looking good and strong,” said NXT head Shawn Michaels. “I think we could really use his ability to get thrown around and lose a bunch of matches.”
As of this morning, Delaney has been added to WWE’s new ID program as an up-and-coming prospect.
