Calgary, AB – Following the events of last week’s AEW Dynamite, OSHA officials have cited wrestler Chris Jericho with a multitude of safety violations.
During his match against Samoa Joe on Wednesday, Jericho took control of a forklift and drove his opponent through a wall. Unfortunately for Jericho, he operated the heavy machinery with the proper certification, drawing a swift punishment from safety officials.
“We received multiple calls over the past week from local officials, union representatives, and concerned citizens over Mr. Jericho’s conduct,” cited Occupational Safety and Health Administration representative James P. Powell. “Along with my counterpart in the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety, we reviewed all available footage and determined that Mr. Jericho was in serious violation of both organizations’ rules. His conduct put himself and many others in danger.”
Infractions include unsafe driving, missing operator certification, not performing pre-operation inspections, driving with an elevated load, excessive speed, failure to wear proper protective safety equipment, and refusing to retire.
Chris Jericho has promised to pay the fines with money earned through his Learning Tree seminars. He will also Big Bill take the forklift driver certification test for him to avoid any future issues.
