Cleveland, OH – AEW detractors are planning to dress as empty seats for the company’s Halloween edition of Dynamite later this week.
The cruel and confusing prank spawned on social media over the past few weeks. Noting AEW’s recent decline in live attendance, tribalistic wrestling fans are threatening to troll CEO Tony Khan this week. Using needle, thread, and hot glue, the fans and their mothers worked hard to make the costumes look like the seats in Cleveland’s Wolstein Center.
“What better way to get at Tony Khan than buying a full price ticket for one of his shows and sitting through the entire thing?” said AllEliteHater04 on Twitter.
“Scissor upholstery, Da-ddy!” sang TikTok account TonyyyC0n, showing off her antique store couch cushion haul.
Currently, WrestleTix lists this Wednesday’s Dynamite as having 450 seats still available, though it is currently unclear if that number includes the extra seats of those in costume.
