In the early days of AEW, The Dark Order was pushed as a threatening faction. It, uh, didn’t quite work out.
What they failed to deliver in threats and beatdowns, they made up for in an interesting and creative recruitment campaign. They probably could have run these for months, being real subtle about it at first and then ramping things up. Having people show up in the crowd wearing masks, turning underneath babyfaces into their minions, then finally taking out the good guys.
