WWF Hunter Hearst Helmsley Triple H WWF Magazine 1996 trading card

This is a Hunter Hearst Helmsley card that came on a sheet in the September 1996 issue of WWF Magazine.

For those of you too young to remember, he used to have an aristocratic Blue Blood snob gimmick before he became The Game we all know and love today.

I’m posting it simply so I can gawk at how lean and trim Triple H was for the first couple of years of his WWF career.

Ah, they bulk up grow up so fast.

To be fair, HHH’s arms are looking pretty swoll in that picture (moreso than I remember them being at that stage of his career) …

  2. Alexandru says:

Lean and trim is a nice way of putting it. Surprised he didn’t juice up earlier in his career

  3. John C says:

Watching him in those early days I never…everrrr would have pegged him to be a star. With that gimmick I would have guessed 6 months and happy trails to you.

  4. Sean Bateman says:

This was between the WCW era and the DX eras of his career. Pity that Deal did not induct Trip’s gimmicks in WCW. Before the Connecticut Blue Blood, Mr. Stephanie was a FRENCH Blue Blood and before that he was under the gimmick of Terra Ryzin/Terror Rising.
