Someone Bought This: The WWF 1995 Year In Review VHS tape is a tape nobody should want to own

WWF 1995 Year In Review VHS video tape

This is the 1995 WWF Year In Review tape released by Coliseum Home Video.

Look at that match list! It’s like a virtual WrestleCrap induction list.

Good news: The tape features the Shawn/Razor ladder match from SummerSlam.

Bad news: That match is apparently clipped so you don’t get to see the full match here.

Good news: So is everything else on this tape including all the other terrible matches that you never wanted to see again since they aired on Pay-Per-View in 1995.

Bad news: A lot of people paid good money for this tape.

Even worse news: This tape is two and a half hours long! I think it’s used to torture people in some countries.

  1. John C says:

If only there was a Best of The Dungeon of Doom compliation to pair with it.

    • Nick says:

That would be amazing. “MY SON!”, “AH! IT’S NOT HOT!”, The Yeti and Savage and Hogan joining the darkside with Zorro masks to find out how to beat them.

  2. Jimbolian says:

I had to squint my eyes to figure out who’s picture that was on the bottom. I thought it was Dr. D with a very unfortunate sunburn accident.

  3. Sean Bateman says:

upsides: Razor vs HBK (albiet clipped), Hakushi vs 1-2-3 Kid
downsides: some matches from a bad Wrestlemania

    • Vince B says:

I was gonna say, 1-2-3 Kid vs Hakushi sounds like a pretty solid match. Shame they didn’t also include that In Your House Bret/Hakushi match.

      • Tempest_Fennac says:

It wasn’t too bad (the only issue I remember is that it had a lot of stalling from Hakushi which just disrupted the flow of the match).

  4. Brownie_the_3rd says:

I like how on their tape for 1995 in review they have a picture from the wrestlemania 10 ladder match from 1994

  5. Mister Forth says:

Man, 1995 really was bad liking at what was the “best”.

  6. DarthPitch says:

Does it include the constant “ECW” chants, or were those edited, too?

  7. Jeremy says:

When Diesel v. Sid is one of your “highlights” you know it was a bad year.

  8. Conquistador #3 says:

I’d take out Undertaker vs. King Kong Bundy & Triple H vs. Sparky (heh, they should have that match at next year’s Wrestlemania) and replace them Bret Hart vs. Jean-Pierre Lafitte from Raw and Bret vs. Diesel from Survivor Series. On a related note, It’s hard to recreate the plausibility and anticipation of old wrestling cards based on what we know happened later. I was excited enough about finding out who Owen’s mystery partner was going to be at Wrestlemania (thought it would be the reunion of the New Foundation) that it tipped the scales and I paid for the PPV. Yokozuna was a pretty big surprise at the time, so yes I would put that match on this tape . Too bad they’re edited, though.

  9. Ze Frenchie says:

Hey, at least it wasn’t Mega Matches ’95, where the highlights are Tatanka (Buffalo), Luger and King Kong Bundy matches… As dreadful as it sounds.
