Someone Bought This: Steiner Brothers shirt parodies a horror movie classic

WCW Steiner Brothers Frankensteiner Frankenstein t-shirt

I found this early 90’s shirt parodying Frankenstein referencing  Scott’s “Frankensteiner” finisher on the WCW Worldwide blog and just had to share it with you, Crappers.

I’ve got to give WCW’s merchandising department credit for being pretty creative here- I’d have totally bought this one!

It’s ironic that it’s Scott who became the unstoppable monster freak later on…

I’d pay good money to see Rick Steiner perform Puttin’ on the Ritz.

  2. Down With OPC says:

We need another one with just Scott Steiner all big, green, and scaley as “Freakzilla”.

Quality wrestling shirts are rare. This one’s actually cool.

  4. Anon says:

I was going to question the choice of Rick being the Monster, but then I realized that Scott had to be the doctor, because after all, he did get a collargscrip to the highly educated university.

Without some hypodermic needles laying around, it just isn’t honest enough for a wrestling shirt! It’s still real to me, damn it!

  6. SLjimbolian says:

Pity it’s not Bride of Chucky.

    that is fantastic!

  8. John C says:

If Jim Herd was running WCW when this came out it probably would have Dracula as a picture on it instead.

  9. Nick Nutter says:

Is it just me, or do how the bats are positioned make the red part look like a blob monster with a face and an arm?

  10. Drew B says:

    You know what’s awful?

When I looked at this shirt for the first time I actually had the thought “Well.. Scott used to do the ‘Frankensteiner’ as a finisher so of course it only makes sense that he’d be the one playing the Dr. Frankenstein role since the monster’s name isn’t actually Frankenstein.”

Because…. apparently, I’m odd enough to have that thought process.
