Larry Zbyszko WCW Magazine 1997 Announcer Of The Year Award

Crapper Paul S. writes:

You now can be the proud owner of Larry Zabisco’s 1997 Announcer of the Year Award from WCW Magazine!

Wow, and it’s even autographed by The Living Legend himself!

I wouldn’t be shocked if someone bought it for the $399.99 asking price.

Of course, the award should’ve gone to Bobby Heenan in the first place if it was a legitimate award (and it isn’t).

I find it pretty hard to believe that a majority of WCW Magazine readers would have given a majority of their votes for Larry…

He was the voice of reason against that no good NWO and he always stood up to do that finger twirl thing no matter how little the crowd actually cared about him. I just pray that the Slammy Awards are still legit and not a work like this clearly was.

    Zabisco… hahaha

  3. JMA says:

Actually I could see the fans voting him announcer of the year since they chanted his name at the start of every Nitro. Guy was over, like it or not.

  4. Brad says:

I love Bobby Heenan, but he was definitely phoning it in by 1997. I can’t really blame him but he definitely wasn’t very inspired in WCW….though his clumsy crawl over the broadcast booth whenever the NWO would show up always made me laugh.

Larry Zbyszko was really over at the time, so it makes sense that he won, like mentioned before.

    The game of human chess….
