Hulk Hogan's Rock 'n' Wrestling astronaut video VHS cover

This is a VHS release of Hulk Hogan’s Rock ‘n’ Wrestling cartoon.

I haven’t seen it, but the cover seems to promise Hulk Hogan In Space!

If that’s what it delivers, I’m so there!

It’s probably even better than Suburban Commando!

I actually have that tape! In the episode in question, NASA is looking to send wrestlers into space for some reason which I can’t remember, so they put all of the good guys against the bad guys in astronaut training to see who has the “Right Stuff.” I believe Hogan and Nikolai Volkoff are the ones who make the cut, though what exactly it is they have to go do in space eludes me.

Everything is better then suburban commando

  3. John C says:

As the Hulkster was preparing to leave into space Brutus Beefcake approached him and talked of his ambitions of glactic travel. He told Hulk that he always wanted to go to Uranus.

The way cartoon Wendi Richter is looking at cartoon Hulk, “Rock & Wrestling” takes on a whole new meaning.

  5. B. Amoda says:

It is a shame the series ended before Hulk Hogan in space got to meet Limozeen in space.

  6. Jimbolian says:

In some Bizarro-type universe, there’s an animated version of Everybody Loves Raymond where Hulk Hogan voices the character of Robert Barone (Brad Garrett).

  7. Andy says:

They have to learn to get along to re-enter earth safely. Safety first brother.

  8. Velvet Al says:

Interestingly, it’s got the WWF Scratch Logo, meaning this tape would’ve been released during the Attitude Era. Were they trying to remind nWo fans of how lame Hogan was?

  9. Ray Currie says:

A crew of astronauts are trapped in their craft & it is determined that only wrestlers are strong enough to free them so the good guys & the bad guys are recruited & it ends up that Hulk Hogan & Nikolai Volkoff pass the tests. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper & the rest of the heels of course try to sabotage Hulk’s tests but of course they fail. Nikolai gets a personal phonecall from the Premiere of Russia who orders him not to fail Mother Russia. IIRC correctly a couple of the heel wrestlers even try to stow away on the rescue craft & from there try to sabotage Hulk’s oxygen line while he’s doing a space walk. That also fails.
