Hulk Hogan Car Shade

From the Merchandise Catalog in Issue #7 of Wrestling Spotlight (Jake Roberts) comes this Hulk Hogan “Hulk rules” car shade for your windshield.

These tacky things were all the rage in the 80’s.

The idea was to block the sun so your car interior didn’t get insufferably hot or damaged from the sun’s rays.

They didn’t really work very well.

Your car still got hot,

And your car looked really stupid while you were out shopping at the mall or whatever.

So it was kind of a lose/lose situation if you used one of these.

i swear thats Stephanie McMahon wearing a Hulk Rules hat

    • "The Big Cheese" Paul Kraft says:

Yup, that’s her (yes, seriously). She did some modeling work for the WWF catalogs around this time. Good eye!

      • John C says:

Makes you wonder who she knew in the company to get that job. Fighting off urge to ask why that’s not a Macho Man hat. Must not mention the one size fits all part of the hat ad.

      • Darryl Stewart says:

Didn’t Shane model some of the gear as well?

        • "The Big Cheese" Paul Kraft says:

I can’t recall seeing any pictures of him doing it (but that doesn’t mean he didn’t do it, of course). t wouldn’t be surprised if he did. If anyone comes across a picture of him from an old catalog, please email me. 🙂

    Wait a minute.

Pre-cut Hulk Hogan t-shirt? No sleeves and with the back cut?

That might be even less useful than the card shade.

  3. Randy Savage says:

Ooooh yeah, Steph in her heyday lookin good sporting the Hogan hat.

  4. Anonymous says:

I would buy this stuff and use it ironically for comedy purposes.

  5. Phil Brooks says:

No lie, I had that beach towel. *hides*
