Rowdy Roddy Piper G.I Joe figure

Crapper Little Louie P, a.k.a. The Doctor of Style submitted this awesome figure of Roddy Piper in the world of G.I Joe (!) and writes:

Folks already know that top wrestler Sgt. Slaughter crossed over into the world of GI Joe. (Indeed, that’s where I first heard of him.) He worked with the other Joe “faces” and had his own figures, vehicles, and even cartoon appearances.

In 2007, Hasbro decided to make another, rather random wrestling crossover: noneother than Roddy Piper — as a heel, no less!

Following his heritage, Piper has joined Scottish GI Joe villain Destro to drill his Iron Grenadier troops and hunt down Sgt. Slaughter!

Comes with kilt, helmet and leather jacket. More info, pics, and fictional “filecard” bio here.

See; that’s the kind of awesome, random thing which I never knew existed, but I’m glad someone told me about it.

Roddy Piper- Army I.C.O.N!

Who knew?

Thanks very much for the submission, Little Louie P!

Now I wish that Sgt. Slaughter had been a COBRA symaphizer instead, that would have been a collectable item…

    Ten hut! You’re welcome, Paul!

Funny how Piper & Slaughter hold the distinction of having an action figure made by two very different divisions of the same company (Hasbro WWF & GI Joe).
