Someone Bought This: TNA Impact Wrestling PLUS on YouTube- pay to watch old TNA?

TNA has a premium/pay YouTube channel (yes, such things exist) called TNA Impact Wrestling PLUS where for a monthly fee for $4.99 a month…

TNA Impact Wrestling Plus cost

…plus an additional per-event price, you can stream old episodes of Impact Wrestling, Pay-Per-Views, and DVDs.

So if you’re a big TNA fan, that might seem like kind of a good deal, right?

Well, no.

The problem is they haven’t uploaded the channel in about 7 months and even then it was with much older content instead of anything current.

Here’s the newest video they uploaded as of May 2015:

TNA Impact Wrestling Plus last new show

Slammiversary 2013 which took place in June of 2013!

I think they must have fired whoever was in charge of this project and just left it abandoned to die like many a WCW angle from the late-90’s.

WWE Network, this ain’t!

I don’t condone piracy; but really, anyone who wants to watch video of TNA events is going to find alternative ways to do it anyway since those alternatives are A). Free, and B). More up-to-date than TNA’s legal option.

So who on Earth would pay money for an inferior service like TNA Impact Plus when there are better options available that are also free?!

Yeah; I don’t think anyone would, including you, dude! Besides, don’t you have to save up your gig money for a spiffy new WWE logo guitar?

Anyway, way to go, TNA- encouraging piracy of your own product through sheer ambivalence and laziness.

Stupid and incompetence costing a wrestling company money… Now why does that sound so familiar? Deja-Vu.

Heh, I actually subscribed to the Retro DHX one. They eventually just turned it into a regular YouTube page after a couple of months of inactivity, though.

TNA: Where the big boys pray they get paid

  3. Vince B says:

I’d pay for a channel of “Best of the Worst of TNA”. Basically, it would just be all of the most gloriously terrible matches, segments, and promos of TNA’s history. I expect a lot of Scott Steiner, Jenna Morasca vs Sharmell, and the entire saga with Abyss and Hulk Hogan.

  4. the14thListener says:

I watched the Best of Samoa Joe on their YouTube last year, for free, over several months. I got 2/3s of the way through before someone realized the oversight and moved it to this pay channel.

  5. Mister Forth says:

Maybe Spike TV was running it.

    • "The Big Cheese" Paul Kraft says:

I don’t think they would run something like this. It seems more like something TNA themselves would be responsible for.

      • Guest says:

Given how terrible Spike TV is/was I pretty much don’t absolve them of running this Youtube channel.

you guys hate TNA don’t you
