WWF Magazine 1995 Mantaur trading card

Apparently this was one of a set of trading cards in a 1995 issue of WWF Magazine.

I feel sorry for any kid who got this card in a trade.

That would be such a bunch of… bull.

Ahem.

Anyway, here’s Mantaur’s debut if you’ve somehow managed to forget:

First impressions are important to establish a character like this so the first impression I had was to burst out laughing. From the very moo-ving entrance theme to the little arm gestures with big steer head on was pure comedy gold. For a crap on crap moment they actually about The Fink & Harvey Whippleman’s Tuxedo Match during this fiasco.

Seeing the audience’s reaction (or lack thereof) right before Mantaur gets in the ring pretty much says it all.

  3. J says:

I am surprise his finisher didn’t involve hitting some one in the head with a bottle of milk

  4. B. Amoda says:

The gimmick so crappy, you don’t even care that the jobber has the unfortunate moniker of Walter Slow.

  5. Bone White says:

He looks like half of the pantomime cow from Jack and the Beanstalk

  6. Sean Bateman says:

Mantaur’s Steerhead helmet is a knock on Vader’s Elephant helmet

  7. CP says:

Well, if anything, the wiki was rIght. He did moo. Well, he said moo like three times, close enough.

And a splash as a finisher? Really? Why did it take a guy calling himself Rhino to figure out what a “horned” wrestler is supposed to use?

    Favortie Quote (on card): “Mooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!”
