I came across this review of a WWF Handheld Electronic Video Game from 1998 and… well, it just looked pretty stupid and lame and cumbersome (shaped like a wrestling ring!) and I thought it screamed “WRESTLECRAP!” so there you are.

That had more excitement and offense than a Jinder Mahal title match.

Surprised to see such an elaborate setup for a junky LCD game in 1998. The old WWF logo on the screen, and what looks like early or mid-90s Undertaker, makes me wonder if they took an older game and repackaged it for the Attitude Era!

I had one of these, though I think mine had The Rock instead of ‘Taker. Lost the joystick figures almost immediately. My immediate memory of the game itself was that the d-pad hurt my fingers. Really awkward. But I do have fond memories of this crappy toy: I used the ring itself with my Pokemon figures. You could launch someone into the corner by pushing the button to pop the screen!

That would have been amazing if it was 1988. How can you go wrong with the spinning tweety effects though.

Hmm. As soon as I heard the sound “effects” I thought “fart”. Made the match a little bit interesting. But not much.
