It Came From YouTube: WWF Spin Fighters toy commercial

So WWF Spin Fighters were toy tops that crashed into each other until one knocked the other one out of a little plastic table.

Thrilling.

You can see a closeup of them here.

    WWE Beyblades? WTF!!!!!!!

    “You can even wear ’em”

    What????

Does this predate Beyblade? The only difference is that these tops are not customizable.

Also, I would hate to be the cameraman (or a child playing) who kneels to get a horizontal view of the action, only to have the tops collide and send one directly at my forehead.

And to think WWE missed out on the fidget spinner craze…

I legit had these as a kid (Not the WWF ones specifically, the Power Rangers line they also had). They were fun to just launch around and experiment with. The thing about them as pins though is the underside of the metal part that clipped on the plastic nub was quite big. So clipping the plastic to the metal with cloth between it was really tough, looked weird, and would fast track the clothes to ruin.
