Ok I’m going to call it: They brought back that intro for the Bushwacker’s theme. Close your eyes and listen to it. You know it to be true!
Ok good, somebody else noticed the Bushwackers thing.
And there is nothing whatsoever wrong with that song. I’d almost forgotten it, but now it’ll be in my head all day.
I’ve heard worse.
Also, The Honky Tonk Man as a face is one of the worst ideas in the history of professional wrestling. The was the GOAT chickenshit heel, and the character never really worked in any other version.
At least it is not like 3 Count’s theme
It’s still better than Hunka Hunka Honky Love
Kinda sounds like Weird Al.
I kinda like it, its what Rockabilly’s music should have been when Honky managed him
I’d love to have sex to this song!
I’ve heard worse.
Anyone have footage of his face matches?
He actually even had this music as a heel because I vividly remember him facing Steve Gatorwolf on Saturday Night’s Main Event for some reason and he had this music. Even if it wasn’t Gatorwof he did have that music as a heel on SNME.
I think I’ve said this elsewhere on the site but as Honky aged and grew paunchier we started calling him ‘The Haagen-Dazs Man.”
Now seriously, how could HTM NOT have gotten over in 1987 coming out to this?
Maybe this should be BnB’s theme.
I read the header for this like five times before I realized it did not actually say Honky Tank MAIL Man.
I’m 98 percent sure he came out to this at Wrestlemania 3, but the later doctored versions may have switched it with “Cool, Cocky, Bad.”
He definitely came out to this at WrestleMania III. Around this time he kept talking about a song called “That’s All Right, Honky Tonk Mama.” I used to think this song was it.
I actually liked this theme. It might be the rarity of it, but I was glad to see it turn up on YouTube.
Now if only someone could find a clean version of the pre-Derringer version of Demolition’s theme (same guitar riff, but no lyrics).
