It Came From YouTube: The British Bulldog’s 3rd WWF theme

The British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith used this terrible theme song in 1999.

Because why be classy and use the nice original “Rule, Britannia!” song when you can be repetitive and derivative?

They Poochified his theme song!

Yeah, I was thinking of putting that one up until I found THIS one which is somehow even worse. 🙂

Let’s face it, there were a lot of bad things about Davey Boy’s WWF return. This theme song, the theme song he used for most of his run, the fact that he got saddled with the Mean Street Posse as his valets, the fact that his wrestling attire consisted of him wearing skinny jeans outside of one match, that they seemed to turn him heel after he returned for no real reason at all, the Dog Poop Match, basically getting buried by The Rock in the ‘it doesn’t matter if The Rock counts to 3″ match…

And the almost Nipple H amnesia angle…

Yeah, where exactly was that supposed to go?

If I’m not mistaken, we didn’t see him again after that until he showed up with the Hardcore title one night and he was gone a couple months later.

15 seconds, 15 seconds was as long as I could take that fiasco. My ears hopefully will forgive me someday for those 15 SECONDS!!!

That’s what the late great Davey Boy Smith needed, Poochie as his mascot during his last run in the WWF! I know Poochie isn’t a bulldog but hey that Kennel from Hell match didn’t feature any actual bulldogs either. Matilda and Winston were nice, but Poochie was all about being in your face, cool!

I’m pretty sure Vince could have bought the rights to Poochie for a tidy sum.
