From the old TV show Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction, this story stars Terry Funk
Wow! Lieutenant Commander Riker and Terry Funk in the same TV show!
That’s not quite as cool as if it were
Oh, and to answer the question imposed in the TV show’s title, this is totally fiction in every conceivable meaning of the word “fiction”.
And in this case the story as presented is full of more holes than a block of swiss cheese.
Still, Terry Funk is a pretty good actor which is more than I can say for a lot of other wrestlers.
Unfortunately, Terry’s performance is the only good thing about this stupid segment.
Terry Funk also played a wrestler on an episode of Quantum Leap, which was both awesome and deserving of its own “It Came From YouTube” on WrestleCrap (though it was far too high quality of an episode for an induction).
All you have to do is watch Road House to know what kind of an actor that Terry Funk is. Greatest actor of all time, that’s what kind.
My mother went to high school with Jon Frakes. She said he was a typical high school jock bully growing up. I had a chance to meet him at a horror/sci-fi convention and told him he went to school with my mom. He said he didn’t remember her but “Go Liberty!” I can’t tell if that was nice or dickish.
Frakes tries to be very nice at conventions. One of his earliest paying jobs acting was working comic conventions playing Captain America
My dream team: Dirk Simmons & Dirk Diggler. They could be called Demoltion & Penetration and feud with The Johnsons. This thing was so poorly made the guy who directed it should work for WWE Films. This segment should have been on BULLSHIT…OR NOT
Oh man, I used to love this show! Glad someone finally uploaded this segment to the YouTubes …
The crowd boos both guys? Crowd is a bunch of haters.
I’d never really paid much attention to this or I’d have added more to my e-mail submission if I remembered those got added.
Anyone think if this happened to Terry during one of his retirement matches he’d have stayed retired?
Terry Funk was also in “Paradise Alley” and he played a wrestler.
Terry Funk has appeared in Tequila and Bonetti as a cop!
