Today at a WWE live event in Cape Town, South Africa a fan ran into the ring and low-blowed Randy Orton while his back was turned (!)
Needless to say, that was a very stupid thing for the fan to do. I assume it took a lot of liquid courage for the fan to become “brave” enough to even attempt that.
I wish Randy had turned around and knocked the idiot out cold before security could get to him.
The fan was later arrested and is now being held in jail.
But that’s not why I’m posting the video, though.
Later in the day, Big E. Langston tweeted the following:
That’s not exactly what we mean by “intimate fan experience.” #WWECapeTown

I’m having a hard time with this one. Why did it take so long for the security to get him? Why didn’t Randy punch him in the head? Why did the fan do a textbook wrestling “low blow”? I’m still not convinced this wasn’t part of a story. If it is not part of a story then this fan is an idiot, if it is part of a story then kudos to WWE for making me wonder.
The security sucked. Randy didn’t hit him back because Randy knew the fan could’ve sued him and WWE would’ve put him in the doghouse. I’m 100% sure it isn’t party of a storyline.
The fan probably thought that’s how to actually do a low-blow. Also, if it were part of the show, I’m guessing Orton wouldn’t have no-sold the shot. But, Orton did retaliate when he kicked the guy in the head as security was getting him out of the ring. Guessing security basically got complacent, and that’s how this ‘bag got in there with enough time to do what he wanted to do.
Actually Orton did initially sell the shot, he then saw it was a fan then stopped selling immediately.
Sorry about the caps above.
Low blow out of nowhere!
Interesting that Big E tweeted that, as rumour has it he was attacked by the same fan.
Did that fan not get the Randy Orton gay community joke?
Good effort South Africa, but nobody can stop Randy Orton’s Infinite Push.
So, will Orton get on twitter and deny that this happened and say that the evil internet is making things up?
Maybe this was the WWE’s new drug testing method and this guy was just checking for some of the side effects of steroid use?
Looked like a Pearl Harbor job to me.
Being held in jail? In South Africa?
DAAAAAAYYYYYYUMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That’s rough. They might as well send him to the gulag while they’re at it. In fact, that might actually be preferable.
Hmmm…maybe karma is real, after all…
