Obscure, strange, and sometimes downright horrible wrestling merchandise that someone paid good money to obtain.

Someone Bought This: Oh, a Wise Guy, eh?

In the late 90’s at the height of D-Generation X’s popularity, they decided to release the DX Wiseguyz– a set of figures featuring Triple H, The New Age Outlaws, and X-Pac dressed up as as 1930’s gangsters. They even put them on the cover of WWF Magazine in suits! Um… Why? I mean DX was cool. Gangsters are always cool. Continue Reading...

Someone Bought This: This Rockers shirt reminds me of something…

5 Submitted by on Fri, 10 May 2019, 02:00
I especially like this Rockers shirt because it looks like the Title Card to a wacky 80’s cartoon- “The Adventures Of The Rockers”! You expect them to team up with the Scooby-Doo gang solving mysteries in a van, and then they’d all dance to some generic rock music at the end. I bet Shawn would totally score with Daphnie, leaving Continue Reading...

Someone Bought This: Mankind is here with Chef Boyardee Ravioli!

0 Submitted by on Fri, 03 May 2019, 02:00
This was too weird not to uh.. “borrow” for SBT, Crappers! User dgnr8 on The Wrestling Figs collector’s forum made a post in this thread about all the promotional cardboard cutout standees he owns, including this one! It’s a promotional standee of Mick Foley / Mankind shilling for Chef Boyardee Beef Ravioli! Imagine that you’re staying overnight at this guy’s Continue Reading...

Someone Bought This: Cutting hair is thirsty work!

1 Submitted by on Fri, 26 April 2019, 02:00
It’s a Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake drinking glass! Brutus is looking kind of bloated here, isn’t he? Of course, the only thing you can really drink out of it are those fruity mixed drinks with the little paper umbrellas. “Ooo! I sure could usk one of those drinks from that glass featuring that sexy barber fella, there…” That’s enough out Continue Reading...

Someone Bought This: Sting’s in trouble, but help is on the way!

4 Submitted by on Fri, 19 April 2019, 02:00
Robocop in WCW was pretty ridiculous on it’s own merits (of course we’ve covered that in The WrestleCrap Archives) but even moe ridiculous is the over-the-top (dad!) ad copy they came up with for this Capital Combat ’90 ad. For extra fun, read it in your best “Movie Trailer Voice-Over Guy” voice as if it’s the most important thing in the Continue Reading...

Someone Bought This: WCW luggage tags will help make you look stupid in public

5 Submitted by on Fri, 12 April 2019, 02:00
They actually made WCW Sting and Goldberg luggage tags. Okay, picture this. You’re at the airport baggage carousel… …desperately trying to find your suitcase amongst the dozens circling by. You walk up to an airline employee and say “Excuse me, can you help me find my bag? It’s the black one with the luggage tag of a mime on it!”. Continue Reading...

Someone Bought This: This shirt is unbelievable… for all the wrong reasons

5 Submitted by on Fri, 05 April 2019, 02:00
“Unbelievable!” (said in Vince McMahon’s awesome bombastic voice) was WWE’s slogan during the failed “New Generation” era where they trotted out a bunch of new wrestlers and characters that nobody cared about. “Unbelievable”… as in “I can’t believe how terrible the WWF is these days”. And for some reason they decided to put the slogan on a shirt in unbelievably Continue Reading...

Someone Bought This: Custom Man Mountain Rock figure with the most important accessory

0 Submitted by on Fri, 08 March 2019, 02:00
I found this custom Man Mountain Rock figure at WrestleToys.com. It’s better than the Hasbro custom one we featured earlier because this one does come with WWF logo guitar as illustrated! But sadly no crown. King Man Mountain Rock! Oh, what a wonderful world it would be if he had been crowned King of the WWF! Man Mountain Rock, what do Continue Reading...

Someone Bought This: Norman The Lunatic loves his teddy bear, and you can too!

1 Submitted by on Fri, 22 February 2019, 02:00
Before Mike Shaw was Bastion Booger, before he was Friar Ferguson, he was Norman The Lunatic in WCW. That was his entire gimmick- he was a stereotypical “crazy guy” who escaped from an insane asylum and (of course) had wild, crazy hair and was still wearing his asylum-issued outfit. Oh yeah, and he was managed by Teddy Long, playa! Norman Continue Reading...

Someone Bought This: Adam Bomb “Bomb Squad” shirt

4 Submitted by on Fri, 15 February 2019, 02:00
Adam Bomb was a heel whose gimmick was that.. um. .. he survived a nuclear explosion (or something). Then he turned face, threw little Nerf football “bombs”… …into the audience, and got his own “Bomb Squad” t-shirt. I guess his fans were called The Bomb Squad? I don’t really remember that, but whatever....

Someone Bought This: WCW Nitro Girls dress for your little girl (?)

2 Submitted by on Fri, 08 February 2019, 02:00
Bryan over at The WCW Worldwide Blog posted a 1998 WCW Merchandise Catalog. WCW Nitro Girls dresses for little girls. Now, someone please correct me if I’m wrong but the entire purpose of the Nitro Girls was to give guys something to oogle in -between matches. I can’t imagine that too many 6 year old girls A). Watched wrestling or B). Continue Reading...

Someone Bought This: El Gigante shirt

4 Submitted by on Fri, 01 February 2019, 02:00
I know this isn’t a very high-resolution image but I can’t find anything better (please shoot me an email if you have or find a better scan of this!). Look in the upper right corner! It’s an El Gigante shirt! I bet WCW sold a cool dozen of these! It’s neat (in a “I can’t believe someone bought that!” sort of Continue Reading...

Someone Bought This: Unreleased WWF Superstars cereal box featuring a tag team that licks ’em all!

Crapper Another Dave writes: Ran across this this morning- an unreleased WWF Superstars Cereal Box featuring the Bushwhackers! Someone Bought This: Buy a Cactus Jacket from Cactus Jack!

3 Submitted by on Fri, 04 January 2019, 02:00
Bryan over at The WCW Worldwide Blog found out that in 1994 Mick Foley ran a short-lived mail-order Leather Jacket catalog (!). Mick offered leather jackets for both men and women. Unfortunately there wasn’t much interest in the jackets and the business closed down pretty fast. I don’t know much about leather jackets but they look nice to me. Continue Reading...

Someone Bought This: No Holds Barred- The shirt!

4 Submitted by on Fri, 28 December 2018, 02:00
If you’ve read R.D’s induction of No Holds Barred (and if you haven’t, you ought to) then you know the movie is… shall we say…. somewhat flawed. But Vince McMahon must have thought the movie would be really popular because the WWF put out this t-shirt featuring a drawing of Hulk Hogan (as Rip!) glaring at an enraged Zeus. Hulk looks like Continue Reading...

Someone Bought This: Sin Cara and Scooby-Doo figures

5 Submitted by on Fri, 14 December 2018, 02:00
A few years ago there was a WWE/Scooby Doo “WrestleMania Mystery” crossover cartoon movie. Here’s some figures of Sin Cara and Scooby-Doo, together at last. Can’t you just picture Sin Cara out at 6 AM taking Scooby out for walkies? The real mystery is why anyone would want this particular combination of figures. Oh-Ho-Ho-Ho!...

SOMEONE BOUGHT THIS: Fly Fishing Mike Rotundo Autographed Photo

2 Submitted by on Sun, 25 November 2018, 19:24
As discussed on WrestleCrap Radio…I never thought he’d top that Captain Mike shirt where he had a giant head popping out of a boat, but he sure tried! This was apparently out of the 1988 DANGER ZONE calendar, and if anyone is looking to get me a Christmas present, this would look great hanging up in my living room....

Someone Bought This: Chyna’s second dumbest shirt

1 Submitted by on Fri, 23 November 2018, 02:00
“Chyna Syndrome”? (Insert obvious STD joke here). Well, this isn’t quite as embarrassingly stupid as her Va-Chyna shirt, but it still doesn’t make any sense. It’s a reference to the movie The China Syndrome about a reporter who uncovers shady goings-on at a Nuclear Power Plant. So is this shirt saying that Chyna is a Nuclear-Powered Diva like Nuclear Man Continue Reading...
